Intermediate Performance Ensemble (IPE)
Would you like to start your week with something that’s fun, friendly and stimulating? Join us on Monday evenings to make music together under the sympathetic and expert direction of Nick Coote, who finds us some delicious music, from baroque, such as the fabulous Purcell Pavane and Chacony, to 20th century, such as John Ireland’s Downland Suite.
If you’re in ELLSO Stage 2 or above, or equivalent standard, come along and give it a go. You can be sure of a welcome and a supportive band of players - and a cup of coffee and biscuits.
We meet from 7pm - 9.15pm At the TAB centre, Godfrey's Place, London E2 7NT - www.thetabcentre.co.uk (behind St Leonard's Church in Shoreditch, just by the junction of Kingsland Road, Shoreditch High Street and Hackney Road. 10 mins walk from Old Street tube station and 15 minutes walk from Liverpool Street Station. It costs £75 per 10 week term. You don’t have to play at ELLSO on a Saturday morning to join, but we do ask you to pay the annual ELLSO subscription of £15 to receive the newsletters etc. If you’re not sure it’s for you, you’re welcome to just come and give it a try before signing up. We look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones - and making music together.

- Andante and Allegro assai from Divertimento No 2 K137 by Mozart
- Langsam and Schnell from Hindemith 5 Pieces
- An arrangement for strings of ‘If I were a Rich Man’.
