High Melton Campus

Set on a scarp overlooking the Deane valley, the High Melton campus offers a number of attractions:

  • Dedicated rehearsal and concert spaces, theatre and practice rooms
  • Full board - single room and twin room accommodation
  • Restaurant with provision for vegetarians, vegans and those with special dietary requirements
  • Camping and self-catering options
  • Bar with late night opening
  • Variety of walks over adjacent farmland, scarps and woodlands

Please note: although the campus is reasonably compact, there is a certain amount of walking between venues. The sleeping accommodation is situated slightly downhill of the rehearsal and concert spaces.

All the buildings (except Nelson) are used by the Summer School during the week. The golf course is also accessible.

The centre of activity is Church House, where meals are taken and where the meeting area and office are located.

Classes take place in various buildings but are all within a short walking distance. Some steps are involved (therefore not advisable for those in wheelchairs or those having difficulty in negotiating stairs, both inside and out).
