Our tutors
Every year we are lucky enough to be able to secure the services of a wonderful team of String Tutors to guide us through our week. All are gifted players in their own right, with busy careers as international soloists, as members of world class orchestras or teaching in the very best music establishments in the country.

Accommodation
Accommodation is in a Boarding House, a short walk from the teaching spaces. The rooms are single and most have washbasins and there are common rooms and kitchenettes there, where you can make hot drinks.
Breakfast is served in your Boarding House, lunch and dinner on the main School premises.
Course fees
We have endeavoured to keep the course fees as low as possible although there have been considerable cost increases.
Standard course fee including accommodation in a single room with washbasin | £730 per person |
Supplement for single ensuite room (limited availability) | +£50 per person |
Reduction for basic single room, no washbasin, bathrooms nearby | -£50 per person |
Adjustment for accommodation in double ensuite room (for couples, not single occupancy) in nearby property | Various. Please enquire re availability and price per person |
- If you prefer to book off-site accommodation, we may be able to offer a small discount on the course fee.
- We are sorry, but the school does not offer any reduction for players sharing a twin room.
- It will be possible to book bed and breakfast on the night before the course starts, and to book a place in a shared minibus transfer between Peterborough Train Station and Uppingham School before and after the course.
