Calling all Double Bass players!

2 day London Basses Workshop 24th-25th October

 

Eloise Riddell (occasional ELLSO Tutor) is excited to announce a 2 day London Basses Workshop between 24-25th October. 

The two days will be from 10-4pm with a 4pm concert on the Sunday at John Lyon School, Harrow.  There will be an optional final hour from 4-5pm on the Saturday for those wishing to work on duets, trios and quartets in smaller groups (1 per part) and the rest of the two days will be filled with massed basses, smaller ensembles, masterclass, Jazz workshop, Contemporary workshop, orchestral classes, concert and more! The highly renowned Valentina Ciardelli (who teaches in the Senior department of Trinity Laban Music Conservatoire) https://www.valentinaciardelli.com/biografia will be joining us as a special guest and we also have Dave Manington who will be leading jazz workshops, so this is one not to miss! For those advanced, Valentina will be working on extended contemporary techniques and also orchestral excerpts and solos with the students. 

 

There are full bursaries from our sponsors Stoneleigh Youth Orchestra and Stentor Music for those that need. All ages and abilities from Grade 3 upwards are welcomed. Adult price is £170.
