ELLSO Symphony Orchestra
We are currently looking for Horn and Brass players!
The ELLSO Symphony Orchestra is a friendly enthusiastic orchestra meeting on 10 Thursday evenings each term (7.15pm to 9.30pm) in East London.
The music is challenging, so, as a guide, this group is for players who have reached a confident Grade 6+ (or ELLSO Stage 5). If you are around that level and want to contact us with a view to giving it a try you will be made very welcome!
ELLSO Intermediate String Ensemble
Would you like to start your week with something that's fun, friendly and stimulating?
Are you an intermediate level player of violin, viola, cello or double bass?
The ELLSO Intermediate Ensemble is a coached String Ensemble which caters for players who have been learning for a year or more. Most of our players have reached a standard of about Grade 2 - 5 (ELLSO Stages 2-4)

Learn to play violin, viola, cello or bass with a very special amateur String Orchestra - we are recruiting beginner players for September!
ELLSO is a registered charity, started 40 years ago, with a basic philosophy that music-making is within everyone's ability.
We are an East London based teaching string orchestra for adult late starters, regardless of age, background, experience or income and we want to break down barriers to music-making and encourage people to play an instrument.
Saturday ELLSO
Learn to play at Saturday ELLSO!
Never played before?
Learned as a child but let your skills go rusty?
ELLSO is the place for you!
Led by experienced and committed tutors, ELLSO has a well established system for helping adults learn to play music for the first time or improve their exisiting skills.
